What struck me was that the reports said this would be implemented FIRST in areas that are 'economically depressed' (or words to that effect - 'we' all know that poor people make bad parents!!!) AND IN AREAS OF DECLINING SCHOOL ENROLLMENT!!!

This in NOT about the kids - it is about NOT reducing the number of unionized teacher jobs (you know, like Dalton McGuinty's wife has)!!!

In that same process, this will wipe out small, home-based daycares where a mom stays home with her kids and takes 2-3 other kids in to help ends meet.... Now, these low-income women will loose their jobs - and their 'small businesses' - because those 2-3 'other kids' will be sent to the government subsidized institutions...

So, THESE parents will no longer be able to care for their own children!!!

This is not about 'the children'!

It is about removing choices from stay-at-home parents and taking jobs from low-income women and giving them to overpaid teachers to placate their unions!!!

The reference in this article is a little older, (and less wacky), than The Matrix - It was Huxley's Brave New World.

Forget the MA: I'm holding out for an MVDr at the very least. And bilingual. And a gourmet cook. Or I won't take them back.

I was thinking the same thing.

Your last paragraph sounds very similar to a popular movie I saw, I think it was called The Matrix.

To run a little further with the idea and synchronize it with the increasing demand for green energy, perhaps we could rig up implants into the bodies of people and house them in incubation tanks. We could send a complex virtual reality system into their conscious minds while harvesting their electro-chemical energy.

There is obviously a need to disguise this "new deception," or "neo-con" if you will, as a boon for humanity, and it must also perpetuate only liberal values. Perhaps those who obstruct the new world order would be best suited as the first pioneers in this grand experiment.

Food for thought?
